The majority of games are played at either the Main Street Town Park or Memorial Park. When rain is possible, you must check to make sure that your game has not been postponed at the location you are playing at. Frequently, it is dry at one location and pouring at another. Until you are told by your coach or a member of the Board of Directors, you must report for the scheduled game. If the Parks Department has postponed games due to rain, then they are closed. Even if it gets sunny later, DO NOT come out with a rake and try to get the game in. Please don't disregard this reasonable request from them.
Main Street Town Park: is located on Route 5, Main Street just west of the Clarence Hollow. The diamonds are identified as numbers 1-4, they have grass infields and are located in the back of the park in a beautiful tree lined setting with plenty of shade for players and spectators. There are several picnic shelters in the park (Town residents only/reservation required), with running water near the diamonds and flush toilets a short distance from the diamonds near the large pavilion.
Memorial Park: is located approximately two miles north of the Main Street Park on a large parcel of land bordered on the east by Strickler Road, the south by Clarence Center Road and the west by Kraus Road. The Clarence Soccer League fields and some of the Town of Clarence Baseball Association diamonds are also located on the grounds. The softball diamonds are in the north-east corner of the property.
The diamonds have "skinned" infields and are designated by the letters A-D.
Another thing to be aware of at this location. It is windy most of the time and there is no shade or foliage. It can be a very sunny place and sunburn can be an issue. If it is cold and damp it can also be less than desirable. Remember games are played, even if it's cold or during light rain or drizzle.
Unfortunately in regard to comfort facilities. There is no running water, electricity or flush toilets. There usually are Porta-Johns provided by the town, which are routinely cleaned. Please take this into consideration. During the August Tournament we have a concession stand and tents setup near the diamonds.
Other locations that can occasionally be used:
Clarence High School: (North & South) Corner of Main St. & Gunnville Rd. Southeast corner of the school property, way in the back.
Harris Hill Elementary: The diamond is located on the south side of the school property on David Rd, which can be accessed off of Wehrle Dr by the EPIC Center or off Susan Dr, which runs into Main St by the Red Mill Restaurant. Don't park in the school lot on Harris Hill Rd, it's a hike to get to the diamond.
